Frequently
Asked Questions
I placed an order and have not received my
designs yet?
After your order is processed, you will receive an email from me with the link(s) to download
your
design(s).
The email will have a subject line of "Your Order
(Designs Sew Fine)".
If your order includes
both Full Collections & Single
Designs and you choose
"Mail Only"
or
"Email & Mail" as a shipping option, ONLY
the Full Collections will be mailed.
Single Designs will NOT be
mailed.
If you did not receive the email with the links
within an hour of placing your order,
please check your spam folder. Some ISP's will send any emails
with links to your spam folder.
Links are valid for
3 days from the time your order is processed. If
you miss
the deadline,
please email me and
I will send new links. Single designs ordered will include a
zip file
with all formats available as listed on each
of the collections pages.
A colorchart in .pdf
format is included with all designs.
Can I stitch out the designs on items and sell those items?
Yes, you sure can. As stated in my copyright notice, you
can sitch out the designs on items for resale. But --
please respect my work (as you would want others to respect
your work) -- and do not copy, share, sell, trade, etc.
Please read my entire copyright notice below.
Do you
offer discounts or ever have a sale on your designs?
Occasionally I do have a sale. If you want to be
notified, please join my Yahoo group.
Can the
designs be resized?
All my designs have been digitized for their original size.
Some designs may stitch out okay if they are resized and some
may not. The only thing I can suggest is you can try it
if you want.
I
stitched out one of your designs, and the outline is way off.
What is wrong?
First of all, I can guarantee you that it is not the design
itself. Something may have happened when you were either
downloading the design(s) or sending the design(s) to your memory
card/floppy disk/machine. Sometimes there can be a
little glitch in your computer while they are being copied and
they don't sew out right. The same thing has happened to me
with designs that I have stitched out numerous times before
and they were perfect previously.
Try sending the designs to your
memory card/floppy disk/machine again and stitch them out on
scrap fabric.
Please know that I would never
try to sell any designs that don't stitch out properly (or
even give them away as the free ones). If you still have
problems, let me know. If you need to email me, let me
know what type of fabric you are stitching the design out on,
what you are using for stabilizer, etc.
Another
suggestion:
One of my customers (Patricia Crady)
recently sent me an email offering another suggestion for
outlines being off. Her email reminded me that this is
something I wanted to include in the FAQ, but just never got
around to it. Here is her suggestion in her own words.
She is so right. If you don't stabilize and hoop your
fabric properly, your design will not stitch out like it
should. (Thanks, Patricia, for reminding me.)
"I was reading your FAQs while browsing your designs, and I
have some info for you. In the question on the "outline not
matching the design", there's another (and very likely)
reason for that. I've been a customer of yours since
you only had about 9 sets of designs. When I first
started embroidering, your designs were one of the few I
owned. With my being inexperienced at that time, your
designs consistently failed to match the outline. I
wrote to you about it, and you had no solution. A
friend with more experience figured out that what I had done
was to fail to stabilize my fabric properly, and the bad
outline was the result. I changed my stabilizing method and
the results were excellent. If the customer does what she's
supposed to do, your designs sew out magnificently every
time. Thought you might like to pass this information
on to other customers."
